HomeLab Backup

Purpose

HomeLab Backup is a private administrative application used by its owner to store encrypted HomeLab backups in Google Drive.

Google user data accessed

The application uses the Google Drive drive.file permission. It accesses only Google Drive files and folders created by, or explicitly authorized for, this application. Access is limited to what is necessary to create, list, read, update, and delete encrypted backup repository objects.

How data is used

HomeLab data is encrypted locally with Restic before upload. rclone is used only as the transport layer between the private HomeLab system and Google Drive. Google Drive content is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any unrelated purpose.

Storage and credentials

Backup repository objects are stored in the owner's Google Drive in encrypted Restic format. OAuth credentials and refresh tokens used by rclone are stored on the owner's private HomeLab system and are not published by this website.

Sharing and disclosure

Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or other third parties. Data is processed only as required by Google Drive and the infrastructure used to operate the backup workflow.

Retention and deletion

Encrypted backup objects are retained according to the owner's configured backup-retention policy and may be deleted by the owner at any time. OAuth access can also be revoked from the owner's Google Account, and local rclone credentials can be removed from the HomeLab system.

Website hosting

This informational website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It does not contain the backup repository, OAuth credentials, HomeLab management interfaces, or Google Drive data.
